Humid circumstances were predicted to continue along much of Queensland's east this coming days as a weather pattern continued to pull in damp air against the shoreline.

Tomorrow was expected to become the heaviest precipitation period, with continued thunderstorm potential expected across various areas of both states.

Public health experts warned that there was an increased chance of thunderstorm-induced asthma across the northern rural areas, especially given the existing atmospheric conditions.
